If He Can Do It...
Do you put limits on yourself and make excuses? It is easy to blame your lack of taking action on some external force. We have the greatest of ambitions but someone or something is preventing us from doing it. The types of limiting beliefs need to be broken. Look around you at what others have done and are doing. In most all cases the only thing stopping you is you. You want to blame bad luck for your situation or maybe even genetics.
I was recently flipping through the news websites as I have a tendency to do and found an unassuming video that is really inspiring. I wish I could say that it was the story I was looking for, but to tell you the truth I was actually looking at some footage they had of cars in NY that were frozen solid in ice from a broken water main. The next clip was of a blind man who had built a shed and a car. That's right, I had to keep watching.
It turns out that he wasn't blind from birth, but rather lost his sight when a distracted driver ran into him head on. Most of us would have been devastated. We easily could have played the "poor me" card and people would not have disagreed with our terrible situation. This man, however persevered and kept active. He did what I would even find impossible to do with my sight. Now, the shed, I might have been able to accomplish without much trouble and might have even still had all of my fingers when I was done. But a car?

The question is, how are you limiting yourself? If he can do what he has done, what possible excuse can you make as to why you are unable to do something? I said I probably couldn't do those things with all of my faculties, but the truth is I could. I would just need to put my mind to it. What have you been avoiding putting your mind to?
